The last Seven decades of the lighting industry have been a period of transition and growth spurred by upgradation in technology, products, product design and most importantly, a huge growth and diversification in application.
The government liberalization policies have drawn international players in the Indian market, as well as, in exports. The future of the industry envisages immense prospects of growth and development for technology and cost effective light sources. The industry is now capable of and is providing the world with products of greater light output at minimum cost to help conserve energy.
